Livistona Rotundifolia

Livistona

Fan palm

The Livistona Rotundifolia is a palm native to northern Australia. There the palm grows under other trees and therefore does not tolerate direct sunlight. Now the palm is found in tropical countries such as Sri Lanka.

The Livistona needs plenty of light, but should not be in direct sunlight. The leaves can then burn. The best place is half-shaded.

The root ball must be well-moist. This plant comes from an area with high humidity. It is therefore advisable to water the plant more near a radiator. You can spray the plant with a plant sprayer.

The most comfortable temperature for a Livistona is 18 degrees. Above 25 degrees, the Livistona needs extra water. Also, give the Livistona plant food about once a month.
