Green transformation at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek

Working together for a greener and healthier future! 🌱

The Ronald Moerings Foundation (RMF) handed over its annual donation to the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (AvL) Foundation on Friday, November 15, 2024 to support cancer research. This year concerns a record amount of €243,249! This amount is the result of a joint effort of the Ronald Moerings Foundation (RMF) and cycling club Stichting All the way EFI. In addition, this afternoon was marked by the official completion of the greening of the central hall. The central hall of the AvL hospital has undergone an impressive transformation and is now transformed into a green oasis full of plants.

The presentation of the cheques to benefit cancer research took place during a meeting at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, where Marco van Krimpen and Pieter Heemskerk, on behalf of the RMF and All the Way EFI, presented the cheques to Maurice van den Bosch, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AvL. The gathering then received a presentation by Liselotte Tas on the latest developments in TIL (Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte) therapy.

In addition to financial support, the RMF in cooperation with Royal Lemkes is also actively committed to greening the healthcare environment. This afternoon, the second phase of the greening project of the central hall was officially completed. This transformation has transformed the hall into a green oasis full of plants that provide a soothing environment and promote the recovery and well-being of patients and employees.

Greening at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek

At Air So Pure, we strongly believe that plants are not only beautiful to look at, but also have a positive impact on health and well-being. Therefore we are very proud that we, together with other parties, were able to contribute to the greening of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital! Our brand manager Ronald van Schie and chairman Remco Hill attended the unveiling of the green oasis. There they experienced how our air-purifying Kentia and Spathiphyllum are an important part of this green transformation.

The greening was made possible by the efforts of project leader Maikel Korver and the contributions of various sponsors: together we are working towards a greener and healthier future! Together with its green partners, the Ronald Moerings Foundation not only contributes financially to cancer research, but also creates an inspiring, natural environment for patients and visitors. Next year they would like to make a part of the AvL green again. Would you also like to contribute to this project? Then contact Royal Lemkes or the Ronald Moerings Foundation.
